About Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall
Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall is southern New Jersey’s premier special events arena. The hall has showcased hundreds of noteworthy events since opening its doors in 1929. Following an award-winning $90 million renovation completed in 2001, Boardwalk Hall has hosted a sparkling line-up of world class entertainment that has served to entertain our residents and visitors. Featured headliners from Elton John to Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, Andrea Bocelli, The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Buffet, Phish, Madonna, Black Eyed Peas and more have appeared on the legendary stage. The Hall has also showcased exciting sporting events such as HBO Championship boxing, UFC and other mixed martial arts matches, the MAAC and Atlantic 10 Basketball Championships, AHL Hockey, and indoor car racing, as well as family events such as Cirque Du Soleil and Disney on Ice.
