Start Your Engines! Indoor Auto Racing Speeds Back Into Boardwalk Hall on Friday, January 29 & Saturday, January 30

Tickets Go On Sale Wednesday, September 2 Through Ticketmaster

Indoor Auto Racing is set to speed back into Boardwalk Hall for the 14th Annual Atlantic City Indoor Races on Friday, January 29 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, January 30 at 7 p.m.  The event is a product of Len Sammons Motorsports Productions.

Tickets for this popular winter event start at $15 on Friday and $20 on Saturday for adults and $5 for children and will go on sale Wednesday, September 2 at 10 a.m.  Tickets will be available at the Boardwalk Box Office located right on the famous Atlantic City Boardwalk, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-736-1420. Be sure to purchase tickets in advance as they will be an additional $5 when purchased the day of the event. Groups of 10 or more will also receive special discounts. For information on group sales, call (609) 348-7023 or e-mail aura_sanchez@comcastspectacor.com.

The races will feature three divisions of racing action including the Three Quarter (TQ) Midgets, Slingshots and Sr. Champ Karts. The racing program on Friday night has been modified this year and will now offer greater value to both fans and racers. Under the new format, fans will be treated to four 20 lap events for the TQ Midgets.  Twenty cars will start each race, with the fastest driver from time trials starting in tenth place in each race. At stake in these races will be eight spots in Saturday night’s prestigious 40 lap Gambler’s Classic TQ Midget feature.  The four drivers who win Friday night’s events will automatically lock themselves into Saturday night’s race. In addition, the next four highest point earners from Friday will also participate in Saturday’s main event.  With points awarded based on finishing position in the races and time trial position earlier in the day, every position will matter.

“We are always looking to improve our racing program both for the fans and our racers,” stated event promoter Len Sammons. “With this program, we are able to give more racers the opportunity to compete and at the same time make an event that should be extremely entertaining for the fans.”
