Global Spectrum offers hockey fans once in a lifetime opportunity to watch Philadelphia Flyers open practice from the penalty box at Boardwalk Hall on Sunday, November 9

Global Spectrum, operator of historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, will give one lucky hockey fan the opportunity to get up close and personal with the Philadelphia Flyers, as part of its “Get In the Box” sweepstakes.  One lucky winner along with three of their friends will have the chance to watch the Philadelphia Flyers Open Practice at Boardwalk Hall on Sunday, November 9 right on the ice from the penalty box. The 10-day contest begins today.

Fans who are interested in entering the “Get In The Box” promotion should visit www.facebook.com/BoardwalkHall. Boardwalk Hall currently reaches 33,100 fans through its three main social media platforms of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The contest will be promoted through all of these outlets using official hashtag #GetInTheBox. All entries must be received no later than Friday, October 31 at 12 p.m.

This will be the first time since 1982 that the Philadelphia Flyers full team will be making an appearance in Atlantic City at Boardwalk Hall. The puck is set to drop for the Flyers open practice on Sunday, November 9 at 12:30p.m. and is proudly sponsored by Tropicana Casino & Resort Atlantic City.

Historic Boardwalk Hall, which first opened in 1929, underwent a three year, $90 million renovation to transform the building into a modern special events arena capable of variable seating for up to 14,770 people. Listed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks, Boardwalk Hall's renovation produced a glimpse into the dramatic and original Roman Renaissance style, while providing a 21st century experience in terms of comfort and amenities. Upon its reopening in 2001, it has been recognized as the destination’s premier entertainment venue, known for high profile concerts, family shows, and sporting events.   Global Spectrum manages Boardwalk Hall on behalf of its client, the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority, a division of the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA).
